He started his Taekwondo path at the age of 6 in Pretoria with ATA Taekwondo. He continued in Middelburg at 8 after we moved with Sabunim Konrad. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances after 2 years and grading to Camo belt he had to stop and 2years later we moved to Nelspruit. We couldn’t find a taekwondo club for him to continue, so for a couple of months he did Jujitsu.
Fate luckily put us in Sabunim Job Magagula’s path with TAGB Taekwondo and he could continue his dream. He went from strength to strength under the wing of Sabunim Job over the last 2 years so much, that he graded to Red/black belt recently (Certificate & belt ceremony is on 5th Aug) and is strongly on his way to Black.
Because of his love of Taekwondo, his dream is to teach the art of Taekwondo to others one day. His love for the sports is so contagious, that his mom even joined the art of TAGB Taekwondo recently. Sabunim Magagula also uses him already from time to time to assist in classes with teaching. Another great honour was when he was chosen as vice captain of the team after they were invited to compete at the TAGB International championship in England-Coventry, in July. Unfortunately due to sponsorships and circumstances, the team could not represent the club or South Africa at this occasion. Over the last 2 years, he’s competed at the Arnold Classic and National championship, and brought home a couple of medals.
