My name is Oageng Dolamo, I was born on the 1st of July 2010. I am currently a learner at Nelspruit Primary School.

I started participating in Taekwondo in 2016 when I was 6 years old. Through my commitment and dedication, I moved from white belt known as 10th Kup to 8th Kup (yellow belt) in 2017. In 2018 I got promoted to 6th Kup (Green belt), 2019 I was promoted to 4th Kup (Blue belt), 2020 to 2nd Kup (red belt), 2021 got promoted to 1st Kup(Red belt, black stripe) lastly achieved 1st-9th Dan black belt in October 2022.

The journey to obtaining black belt was not an easy one, there is a lot of hard training, learning and good times. Sometimes I would wonder how I would get through some of the obstacles but I quickly learnt you only get through them when you are ready.

I participated in local tournaments such as SAKMAA Mpumalanga Championship in June 2019 and also the South African Korean Martial Association in August 2019. I also participated in an international tournament called ARNOLD CLASSICS AFRICA in 2019, 2022 and 2023. In all three tournaments I received bronze and silver medals.

I really enjoy the fitness and sparring training, however when it comes to competition, Patterns is what I enjoy the most. I also enjoy that you train your body and mind to react differently, depending on what situation you are in; the training helps you in every aspect of your life.

All this would not have been achieved if it was not for Master Job Magagula the founder of Radiant Taekwondo Academy in Mbombela which also have branches in White River and Bushbuckridge.
